1 Year Diploma Class Amsterdam

This international class of young aspiring actors and actresses was a great experience because I got to spend half a year with them and therefore cultivated ties of deep understanding, love and respect. My job within this setting was to teach the students to use their emotional universe onstage and for film. I also had to put special attention on the discipline and punctuality required for an actor and how they should present themselves upon arrival to a class, rehearsal or shoot. I tried different techniques because the personalities were quite different and required different tools to unlock their true selves and show it to the audience. It was a thrill to see the students become ever more confident in their preparation and delivery of their scenes. My objective was to prepare them to know how to approach a monologue and a scene on their own and how to set everything up themselves including their personalized warm up and emotional prep if necessary. They were strong and independent actors at the end and it was a joy to attend their final monologue presentation where they showcased complete professionalism and touching performances.
