Cours Florent 2nd Year Paris

I had the pleasure of teaching the 2nd year of Acting in English at Cours Florent. There were 20 of us and the classes were intense and dynamic. I had the challenge of guiding and leading each individual person and their infinite personal potentials while also creating a healthy group environment and a safe space for all to thrive in. Much like a juggling act, I aimed to give attention to each individual and help them grow, and meticulously made mental notes of what new challenges to present them with in the next class. We studied Greek and Roman Tragedies and Comedies, Shakespeare and American and European Contemporary Literature. The tightness of this wonderful group was constantly cultivated because we all understood that a nurturing environment provides better opportunity for personal and collective growth. The size of the group required immense energy and mental endurance but every evening after class I felt an immense sense of release and fulfillment. We lived in a creative bubble and created atemporal moments. What more could a creative ask for?
