Interpretation for Musical Theatre in Sevilla

I was blessed with the opportunity to teach wonderful people in Sevilla. They are students of musical Theater and I taught them how to apply tools for a more authentic interpretation of the characters in their musical numbers.

Sometimes it can become artificial due to the technical singing that is required. We explored how to put our whole heart, body and soul into the scenes without sacrificing the vocal integrity. It was wonderful to witness the students explode and expand within themselves and apply it to their expression.

Their voices became stronger and fuller which was a joy to watch. It was a Spanish speaking course which kept me on my toes and allowed me to adapt to a different type of mindset and culture and be witness to the talents it had to unveil.

It was an enriching experience to exchange creative tools with this beautiful group of people.
